About NOMO
I’m Lucinda, an Oxford-based Bodywork Therapist and the founder of NOMO Skincare. I’ve always felt that nature has everything we need to be happy and healthy – something I’m sure my childhood spent running wild in West Sussex had a lot to do with! NOMO is the total embodiment of this belief.
Every product is designed to support beauty that radiates from within. They’re made with plant butters, cold-pressed oils, active botanicals and specialised oils like moringa, rosehip and seabuckthorn (and never with chemicals, synthetic fragrances, fillers or stabilisers).
Our formulas are also infused with a therapeutic blend of essential oils. These not only delight your nose but support your emotional and nervous system health too. Through plant-based products that nourish both skin and spirit, I hope to help people rediscover a sense of belonging within nature (and savour every second of their skincare routine).
Our Journey
It all started with wanting to bring effective, nourishing products into my Bodywork sessions. I needed something that allowed my fingers to work with the fascia while supporting all the different expressions of skin – whether sensitive, dry, oily or balanced. Having worked in the natural health field since my late 20s, I was drawn to explore what nature provides.
Enter: The NOMO Glow Skin Balm. Working from an HQ of my kitchen table, I blended botanicals, oils and butters to support skin health, and essential oils to help soothe and settle the nervous system. It took me two years to get the formula just right, and it soon became a firm favourite with my clients. It was also the beginning of a much deeper dive into what else nature had to offer.
I teamed up with Dr Elizabeth Spencer, a skilled researcher, and together we compiled a catalogue of natural plant extracts, oils, waxes and botanicals. Discovering the potency and potential of each plant ingredient was an exciting process, and I found that these beautiful, natural ingredients also met my own changing skin needs. Our Cleansing Balm, Lip Balms and Facial Oils soon followed.
